I thought it would be suitable for my first blog post to be about why I started this bookkeeping company. There are two main reasons.
First, when my husband, Jonathan, and I were dating we agreed if children ever came along one of us would be a stay-at-home parent. When we were pregnant with our first child I worked for a chiropractic office. The chiropractors graciously agreed to let me bring my baby to the office with me until she was too mobile. The patients loved seeing baby girl grow and begin to socialize with them. So Jon and I both continued to work at our jobs for over a year. Just as my little one was getting to the point of being too mobile, we found out we were expecting our second child. It was time to make some big changes.
I still wanted to help support my family while being at home. I needed to find something to do where a flexible schedule was OK and I could bring in a decent income. I forget how I found Bookkeeper Business Launch but it and the founder, Ben, were a God send. He answered my prayers. I love numbers and being organized. Starting my own bookkeeping business would allow me to have a flexible schedule and help support my family financially. I used to say I would never start my own business, but man am I so excited for this. For the ups, the downs, the pains, and the benefits.
Second reason I wanted to start my company was that it would allow my family and I to travel. Since this is a virtual bookkeeping business, I can work from anywhere as long as I have my laptop and an internet connection. The love for traveling was instilled in me by my grandparents. Later, God was again watching out for me when He allowed Jon to come into my life as his family loves to travel and see new things too. I plan to log our adventures here on this blog to share our lifestyle and inspire others to have their own experiences.
So if you are a small business and would like to partner with me, head over to the contact page to send me an email telling me about you and your business.
Till next time,
